CAR CRASH: Crash killing two women last year leaves man charged

January 20, 2012

Costa Mesa – The driver who killed two women in a Danville car crash is now facing two accounts of felony charges, reports claimed.

The accused, John Peder Harris, 32, allegedly caused the death of Mahinkokht Dowlati, 72, and her daughter, Elham Pirdavari, 51.

Recent reports said that the victims upon the accident were rushed to a hospital but eventually were pronounced dead.

Some accounts have said that Harris’ medical condition made it difficult for him to recognize the two victims prior to the accident; however, authorities have not yet elaborated about it.

Harris is facing two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. The charges were filed at the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office.
