Collision Sends 5 People to the Hospital

El Monte – Five people were sent to the hospital following a crash that blocked all ten lanes of the 10 Freeway, authorities said.

According to CHP logs, the crash was reported about 8 p.m. and occurred in the eastbound lanes of the freeway at Baldwin Avenue.

The crash involved a Sedan and an SUV that rolled over after the collision.

Two men in the SUV were taken to the hospital for what appears to be non-life threatening injuries, Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Curtis Hummel said.

He added that a man, a woman and a child from the sedan were also transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash was being investigated by the East Los Angeles office of the CHP.
