September 15, 2010
Mission Beach - A City Heights diver died after a Humboldt boating accident in Quivera on Saturday.
Robert Clampitt went diving northwest of Quivera when a passenger noticed that he failed to surface within a considerable time. Coast Guard went to search for the diver and found him unresponsive underwater about 30 yards west of Yukon vessel, reports said.
The 48-year-old man had been a boating enthusiast at Waterhorse Charters. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
