CRUISE SHIP ACCIDENT: California Couple Escapes Costa Concordia Boating Tragedy

Riverside – Maria and Jim Groff, a California couple, were lucky to escape the Costa Concordia cruise tragedy after getting off an Italian port, which supposedly the ship’s last stop.

Geanette Trumbull of Riverside, the couple’s daughter, has expressed her gratitude that her parents were not one of the 4,000 people who met the accident.

The couple was on board the cruise ship to purportedly celebrate their anniversary.

According to authorities, the accident occurred after a gash was torn when the ship tipped at the Tuscany coast.

Three were reported to have died and their bodies were already recovered.
