Big Rig Seriously Injures Bicyclist
October 8, 2009
Anaheim – A bicyclist sustained serious injuries and was quickly brought to a hospital after being pinned under the front bumper of a big rig at Kraemer Boulevard Thursday morning.
Reports indicate that the man was heading south near the west curb of Kraemer boulevard at 5:43 a.m. when the accident happened.
The big rig was heading to Kraemer from 91 freeway off-ramp when the driver failed to see the bicyclist pedaling in front of him.
The bicyclist was knocked to the ground and was dragged under the front bumper of the big rig after being hit. The driver stopped as a witness saw the accident and yelled at him.
The unidentified bicyclist was brought to UCI Medical Center for treatments.
Traffic slowed down in the area after police closed the 91 freeway off-ramp and a section of Kraemer Boulevard to investigate the accident.
