Big Rig Accident Triggers Freeway Closure
November 17, 2009
Granada Hills - The eastbound lanes on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, west of San Diego (405) Freeway, has been closed for around two hours after a vehicle and a big rig crashed along the area.
The incident happened west on the 405 freeway. Some motorists involved in the accident were reportedly injured but authorities do not have clear information regarding it.
Police said a backhoe was being towed by the big rig when the accident happened and oil leaked onto the eastbound lanes. Caltrans cleaned it up afterwards.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
