VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Big Pines Multi Vehicle Accident Injures 7 People

Big Pines – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a multi-vehicle accident in State Route 138 this morning that injured seven people, including one in critical condition.
The chain accident that involved a big rig truck occurred at about 6:50 am near 263rd Street and just west of the border of San Bernardino County.
The big rig truck caught fire and firefighters had to put it out while pulling people out of a Toyota Tundra that was involved in the crash.
The six people who sustained minor injuries were treated on the scene while the only person who sustained critical injuries was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
The crash closed State Route 138 abuts five miles northeast of Angeles National Forest community.
There is no information yet on which vehicle triggered the pileup.
