Los Angeles - An off-duty police from Alhambra sustained moderate injuries after hitting a semi truck on 605 Freeway on Thursday.
The officer was riding his Honda CBR 1000 on Whittier Boulevard northbound when he crashed onto a trailer at 8 a.m.
Paramedics arrived shortly after the accident and had the police officer airlifted to the hospital. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.
