CAR CRASH: 2 People Killed After Wrong Way Car Accident in Riverside

Riverside - Two people were killed after a wrong-way driver slammed into another vehicle in Riverside County early this morning.
The car accident occurred at about 1:39am along Cedar Avenue, near Interstate 10.
The wrong-way driver was identified as Johnny Hernandez, 28, of Bloomington, who died on the scene of the crash.
According to CHP, Hernandez was going south along Cedar aboard a black 1972 Chevy when his vehicle started to drift into the northbound lanes.
He then crashed into a green 1994 Toyota, which was being driven by Martha Patricia Pena, 52, of Rialto.
Pena was brought to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at about 3:08 am.
It was not clear if alcohol was a factor in the collision.
The circumstances behind the crash are still under investigation by the CHP.
