Car Accident: 2 Injured in Highway 36E Car Crash
Friday, June 3, 2011
Susanville – A 55-year-old driver suffered serious injuries while his passenger received minor wounds Tuesday after a car accident on Highway 36E near Sunriver Drive, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to reports, David Pokorny was driving a Ford Bronco heading east when it slowly veered off the road and into a dirt shoulder. The vehicle then crashed into a rock embankment, causing major damage to the vehicle.
Pokorny suffered life-threatening injuries while his 56-year-old passenger Robin Pokorny acquired minor injuries after the accident. Both victims were brought to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities said driver fatigue might have caused the driver to lose control of his vehicle.
