Tour Bus Accident: 13 injured in Tour Bus Crash near I-80

Fairfield, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has reported 13 injuries Monday afternoon after a tour bus accident on Lyon Road alongside Interstate 80 near Fairfield.

According to reports, the bus just exited the freeway at about 4:30 pm when it crashed due to unknown reasons. CHP said 13 out of the 49 passengers and one driver aboard the bus were injured.

Injured passengers were taken by ambulance to a hospital nearby. Officers believe none of the injuries are life-threatening.

Authorities said that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. They are still identifying factors and other reasons that might have caused the accident.
