June 1, 2010
San Diego – A multi-vehicle accident in Route 25 has resulted in the death of a woman and injury to two other persons this morning in San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the unidentified 25-year-old woman was driving her gold Ford Explorer north on Route 125 when she lost control and crashed onto the center divide and into the opposite lanes.
The Ford Explorer rolled over and landed on top of a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser then continued to roll until it collided with a marked Border Patrol Jeep Wrangler.
The 48-year-old woman who was driving the PT-Cruiser was airlifted while the agent who was driving the Border Patrol Jeep was taken by Ambulance to Mercy Hospital.
All southbound lanes of Route 125 were closed on Route 94 for more than two hours after the accident.
The lanes were reopened by CHP at around 11:30am.
According to CHP, alcohol and drugs were not likely a factor in the crash.
